Direct Download---Pastor Richard "Buddy" Wimberly "Drifted" 1Timothy 4:1-3.
Causes: Rising Tide and a
shallow anchorage.
Rougher waters
(storms or passing vessels)
Someone else ties up
to you.
A
slipping anchorage. An unaware captain. A God of second chances.
1Ti 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in
the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to
seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
1Ti 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their
conscience seared with a hot iron;
1Ti 4:3 Forbidding to
marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created
to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the
truth.
Some folk may say that
they are not as spiritually active as they should be, and many would
even agree that they are not as close to the Lord as they would like
be, most of us would never think of ourselves as backsliders. Just
because your living in what you may consider gross sin, you still
must be on guard concerning your spiritual state. We are all
susceptible to falling away and we may not even recognize it.
These last days are to be
filled with tests and temptations seeking to lead us away from the
revealed truth of God. The method may be through alluring spirits and
distorted doctrines. They will become bitter and drift from the
faith. Filled with lies and living a lie, they will not even consider
that the reason for the change of the shoreline is because they have
moved. They cannot be wrong – therefore the fault will belong to
others. One earmark of the backslidden is their hypocrisy, imposing
on others standards to which they themselves do not measure up.
Be not dismayed, God is
seeking the backslider, to restore you to Himself. If you have
drifted, stop blaming others, listen to the wooing of God’s Spirit
and re-establish your anchorage. Trust your markers… Ask God to
show you the truth and then look honestly around you.
Do you need to return to
Him today? God has not moved. He has sent me here today to call you
back. Wont you come?

Direct Download---Pastor Richard "Buddy"Wimberly "A Christian Inwardly" Romans 2:17-29.
Rom 2:17 Behold, thou art called a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy boast of God, Rom 2:18 And knowest his will, and approvest the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law; Rom 2:19 And art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light of them which are in darkness, Rom 2:20 An instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, which hast the form of knowledge and of the truth in the law. Rom 2:21 Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal? Rom 2:22 Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege? Rom 2:23 Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God? Rom 2:24 For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written. Rom 2:25 For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision. Rom 2:26 Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision? Rom 2:27 And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law? Rom 2:28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: Rom 2:29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God. Knowledge, Piousness and outward appearances do not commend us before God. Men may be impressed with the outward display but they have no power to save you. Faith in God moves Him on behalf of man. Not righteousness (for we have none), not good works (they are vain), but trusting in Christ alone. When you have humbled down your view of yourself, you will see others differently.
