Pastor Buddy Wimberly "The Cross Of Christ" I Corinthians 1:17-24

17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
23  But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

The cross of Christ is at the center of everything that God has ever intended to do for mankind. But what about the cross? 5 Questions about the cross of Christ.

Q. What do the scriptures mean when it speaks of the Cross of Christ?
A.The historical fact and the Spiritual significance of the historical fact.
Q. Who was this Jesus who died on the cross?
A. He was none other than the Creator God of Heaven and Earth.
Q. Why was He there on that cross?
A. It was not for any sin of His own but for every sin of everyone in the whole world, past, present and future.
Q. What was it that happened to this Jesus as He was on this cross?
A. He was made sin for us. He was made a curse for us. The Romans did not kill Him, the Jews did not kill Him and the Devil could not kill Him. His Father offered His own Son as a sacrifice for our sin. Jesus endured the total wrath of God toward sin for us. He received Justice that we might receive Grace.
Q. What benefits come to us because of the cross?
A. It is finished the curse and the power of sin over us has been removed. The sin debt is paid in full. All who place their trust in the finished work of Calvary now enjoy the privilege of being called sons of God.
Have you trusted in the finished work of Christ on Calvary. Today is the day of Salvation please do not delay.

Pastor Buddy Wimberly "Where He Is" John 14:1-3
1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. Pastor Buddy Wimberly "In The Hedge" Ezekiel 3:23-31, Psalm 106:21-25
Eze 22:23 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Eze 22:24 Son of man, say unto her, Thou art the land that is not cleansed, nor rained upon in the day of indignation. Eze 22:25 There is a conspiracy of her prophets in the midst thereof, like a roaring lion ravening the prey; they have devoured souls; they have taken the treasure and precious things; they have made her many widows in the midst thereof. Eze 22:26 Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them. Eze 22:27 Her princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain. Eze 22:28 And her prophets have daubed them with untempered morter, seeing vanity, and divining lies unto them, saying, Thus saith the Lord GOD, when the LORD hath not spoken. Eze 22:29 The people of the land have used oppression, and exercised robbery, and have vexed the poor and needy: yea, they have oppressed the stranger wrongfully. Eze 22:30 And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none. Eze 22:31 Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord GOD. Psa 106:21 They forgat God their saviour, which had done great things in Egypt; Psa 106:22 Wondrous works in the land of Ham, and terrible things by the Red sea. Psa 106:23 Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy them. Psa 106:24 Yea, they despised the pleasant land, they believed not his word: Psa 106:25 But murmured in their tents, and hearkened not unto the voice of the LORD.

Pastor Buddy Wimberly "I Held On" 2 Kings 4:8-37

8  And it fell on a day, that Elisha passed to Shunem, where was a great woman; and she constrained him to eat bread. And so it was, that as oft as he passed by, he turned in thither to eat bread.
9  And she said unto her husband, Behold now, I perceive that this is a holy man of God, that passeth by us continually.
10  Let us make, I pray thee, a little chamber on the wall; and let us set for him there a bed, and a table, and a seat, and a candlestick: and it shall be, when he cometh to us, that he shall turn in thither.
11  And it fell on a day, that he came thither, and he turned into the chamber and lay there.
12  And he said to Gehazi his servant, Call this Shunammite. And when he had called her, she stood before him.
13  And he said unto him, Say now unto her, Behold, thou hast been careful for us with all this care; what is to be done for thee? wouldest thou be spoken for to the king, or to the captain of the host? And she answered, I dwell among mine own people.
14  And he said, What then is to be done for her? And Gehazi answered, Verily she hath no son, and her husband is old.
15  And he said, Call her. And when he had called her, she stood in the door.
16  And he said, At this season, when the time cometh round, thou shalt embrace a son. And she said, Nay, my lord, thou man of God, do not lie unto thy handmaid.
17  And the woman conceived, and bare a son at that season, when the time came round, as Elisha had said unto her.
18  And when the child was grown, it fell on a day, that he went out to his father to the reapers.
19  And he said unto his father, My head, my head. And he said to his servant, Carry him to his mother.
20  And when he had taken him, and brought him to his mother, he sat on her knees till noon, and then died.
21  And she went up and laid him on the bed of the man of God, and shut the door upon him, and went out.
22  And she called unto her husband, and said, Send me, I pray thee, one of the servants, and one of the asses, that I may run to the man of God, and come again.
23  And he said, Wherefore wilt thou go to him to-day? it is neither new moon nor sabbath. And she said, It shall be well.
24  Then she saddled an ass, and said to her servant, Drive, and go forward; slacken me not the riding, except I bid thee.
25  So she went, and came unto the man of God to mount Carmel. And it came to pass, when the man of God saw her afar off, that he said to Gehazi his servant, Behold, yonder is the Shunammite:
26  run, I pray thee, now to meet her, and say unto her, Is it well with thee? is it well with thy husband? is it well with the child? And she answered, It is well.
27  And when she came to the man of God to the hill, she caught hold of his feet. And Gehazi came near to thrust her away; but the man of God said, Let her alone: for her soul is vexed within her; and Jehovah hath hid it from me, and hath not told me.
28  Then she said, Did I desire a son of my lord? did I not say, Do not deceive me?
29  Then he said to Gehazi, Gird up thy loins, and take my staff in thy hand, and go thy way: if thou meet any man, salute him not; and if any salute thee, answer him not again: and lay my staff upon the face of the child.
30  And the mother of the child said, As Jehovah liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. And he arose, and followed her.
31  And Gehazi passed on before them, and laid the staff upon the face of the child; but there was neither voice, nor hearing. Wherefore he returned to meet him, and told him, saying, The child is not awaked.
32  And when Elisha was come into the house, behold, the child was dead, and laid upon his bed.
33  He went in therefore, and shut the door upon them twain, and prayed unto Jehovah.
34  And he went up, and lay upon the child, and put his mouth upon his mouth, and his eyes upon his eyes, and his hands upon his hands: and he stretched himself upon him; and the flesh of the child waxed warm.
35  Then he returned, and walked in the house once to and fro; and went up, and stretched himself upon him: and the child sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyes.
36  And he called Gehazi, and said, Call this Shunammite. So he called her. And when she was come in unto him, he said, Take up thy son.
37  Then she went in, and fell at his feet, and bowed herself to the ground; and she took up her son, and went out.

Pastor Buddy Wimberly "It's About Life" John 3:3, John 3:36,

John 3:3  Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

John 3:36  He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Pastor  Wimberly And Sis Ann Wimberly "Heirs Together" 1 Peter 3:1-7

1Pe 3:1  Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;
1Pe 3:2  While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear.
1Pe 3:3  Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;
1Pe 3:4  But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
1Pe 3:5  For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:
1Pe 3:6  Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.
1Pe 3:7  Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

We know about the relativity of the relationship between Man and God and Man and Man. One might think to improve the relationship between a man and his wife, he might start by improving his relationship with God, but the converse may actually be more applicable. Will a man buy God flowers to impress Him? Or a woman prepare God’s favorite meal? No. With our God the relationship is improved by our obedience. And His commands are - that the wives be in subjection to their own husbands and be of a meek and quiet spirit, thereby greatly adorning themselves.
And that the husbands dwell with his wife according to what you know is required of you by God. Purposefully give her the honor that she longs for, to strengthen her countenance and because she is a joint-heir in Christ. The result is that your God relationship (prayers) will not be hindered by your disobedience.

17 But when the Philistines heard that they had anointed David king over Israel, all the Philistines came up to seek David; and David heard of it, and went down to the hold.
18 The Philistines also came and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim.
19 And David enquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I go up to the Philistines? wilt thou deliver them into mine hand? And the LORD said unto David, Go up: for I will doubtless deliver the Philistines into thine hand.
20 And David came to Baalperazim, and David smote them there, and said, The LORD hath broken forth upon mine enemies before me, as the breach of waters. Therefore he called the name of that place Baalperazim.
21 And there they left their images, and David and his men burned them.
22 And the Philistines came up yet again, and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim.
23 And when David enquired of the LORD, he said, Thou shalt not go up; but fetch a compass behind them, and come upon them over against the mulberry trees.
24 And let it be, when thou hearest the sound of a going in the tops of the mulberry trees, that then thou shalt bestir thyself: for then shall the LORD go out before thee, to smite the host of the Philistines.
25 And David did so, as the LORD had commanded him; and smote the Philistines from Geba until thou come to Gazer.

Pastor Buddy Wimberly "Who Is Born Of God?" I John 5:1-5

1  Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.
2  By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
3  For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
4  For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
5  Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

I John 3:9-10
9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

Pastor Buddy Wimberly "No Spot" Song Of Solomon 4:7, Ephesians 5:21-27

Solomon 4:7
Son 4:7 Thou art all fair, my love; there is no spot in thee.

Ephesians 5:21-27
Eph 5:21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
Eph 5:22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
Eph 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
Eph 5:24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
Eph 5:25  Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
Eph 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
Eph 5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

Pastor Buddy Wimberly "Lukewarm" Revelation 3:15-17

Revelation 3:15  I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
Revelation 3:16  So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
Revelation 3:17  Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

2Chronicles 25:1  Amaziah was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jehoaddan of Jerusalem.
2Chronicles 25:2  And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, but not with a perfect heart.

What lukewarm looks like:
Outward religion, not serous in devotion or zeal for God.
Not anti – God in his demeanor – worse – he is indifferent to God.
Going about to establish his own righteousness.
A religion of façade. A form of godliness but denying the power thereof.
Doing the right things but not with a right heart is lukewarmess, high hypocrisy.
You cannot even claim ignorance. The Spirit of God has convicted you and you will still persist in your way.
The tale-tell sign of this condition is trust in your riches. Laodicea did it, Amaziah did it and some of you are doing it. Having or making lots of money is not what makes a man rich.
Luke 12:15  And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.

The only hope: repent of your sin and seek after spiritual wealth. God is able to take way better care of you than you can.

Pastor Buddy Wimberly My Brother's Keeper Lev 19:16-17

Lev 19:16  Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people: neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbour: I am the LORD.
Lev 19:17  Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.
