Pastor Richard "Buddy" Wimberly "A Perfect Heart" 2 Chronicles 25:1-2

2Ch 25:1  Amaziah was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jehoaddan of Jerusalem.
2Ch 25:2  And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, but not with a perfect heart.
(Perfect = H8003    שׁלם
shâlêm   shaw-lame'  From H7999; complete (literally or figuratively); especially friendly. (shalem used by mistake for a name.): - full, just, made ready, peaceable, perfect (-ed), quiet, Shalem [by mistake for a name], whole.)
It’s not uncommon to find someone who will do right. The unique quality that is found only in true believers is doing right with a perfect heart. To live right brings with it many side affects: admiration = when you do what is right you will thought of by others as being a good or holy man. but just doing good does not make you good in God’s sight (There is none good no not one) Mark 10:18  Self-righteous attitude = when our focus rests on our good deeds then we take the credit for our own goodness. Judgmental = we then measure goodness as compared to the deeds of those around us and therefore we judge them as not good who serve less than we do.

God points out something in Amaziah that only he could know. His life appeared to be right but his heart (which only God can see) was not right. A perfect heart means whole-heartedly, without any reservation, peaceably. There is a quietness in the heart of a true believer. When a true believer serves the Lord in deed you get the impression that it brings them great pleasure to do so (especially friendly).

Today, some are like Amaziah. Going through the motions and giving all they can but their heart. But all that God wants is your heart. You may or may not be able to spot these individuals by observation but rest well assured that not one slips by God for He looks not upon the outside but upon the heart of a man.

What about you? Are you holding something back from God but covering it up for appearances sake? 1st commandment is to Love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. Nothing held back. 2nd commandment is to love your neighbor as yourself.
Are you serving God with a perfect heart? What would He say?

Direct Download---Pastor Richard "Buddy" Wimberly "Drifted" 1Timothy 4:1-3.

Causes: Rising Tide and a shallow anchorage.
Rougher waters (storms or passing vessels)
Someone else ties up to you.
A slipping anchorage. An unaware captain. A God of second chances.
1Ti 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
1Ti 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
1Ti 4:3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
Some folk may say that they are not as spiritually active as they should be, and many would even agree that they are not as close to the Lord as they would like be, most of us would never think of ourselves as backsliders. Just because your living in what you may consider gross sin, you still must be on guard concerning your spiritual state. We are all susceptible to falling away and we may not even recognize it.
These last days are to be filled with tests and temptations seeking to lead us away from the revealed truth of God. The method may be through alluring spirits and distorted doctrines. They will become bitter and drift from the faith. Filled with lies and living a lie, they will not even consider that the reason for the change of the shoreline is because they have moved. They cannot be wrong – therefore the fault will belong to others. One earmark of the backslidden is their hypocrisy, imposing on others standards to which they themselves do not measure up.
Be not dismayed, God is seeking the backslider, to restore you to Himself. If you have drifted, stop blaming others, listen to the wooing of God’s Spirit and re-establish your anchorage. Trust your markers… Ask God to show you the truth and then look honestly around you.
Do you need to return to Him today? God has not moved. He has sent me here today to call you back. Wont you come?

Rom 2:17 Behold, thou art called a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy boast of God, Rom 2:18 And knowest his will, and approvest the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law; Rom 2:19 And art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light of them which are in darkness, Rom 2:20 An instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, which hast the form of knowledge and of the truth in the law. Rom 2:21 Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal? Rom 2:22 Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege? Rom 2:23 Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God? Rom 2:24 For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written. Rom 2:25 For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision. Rom 2:26 Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision? Rom 2:27 And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law? Rom 2:28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: Rom 2:29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God. Knowledge, Piousness and outward appearances do not commend us before God. Men may be impressed with the outward display but they have no power to save you. Faith in God moves Him on behalf of man. Not righteousness (for we have none), not good works (they are vain), but trusting in Christ alone. When you have humbled down your view of yourself, you will see others differently.

Direct Download--Pastor Richard "Buddy" Wimberly "Band Of Brothers" II Samuel 21:15-22
2Sa 21:15 Moreover the Philistines had yet war again with Israel; and David went down, and his servants with him, and fought against the Philistines: and David waxed faint.
2Sa 21:16 And Ishbibenob, which was of the sons of the giant, the weight of whose spear weighed three hundred shekels of brass in weight, he being girded with a new sword, thought to have slain David.
2Sa 21:17 But Abishai the son of Zeruiah succoured him, and smote the Philistine, and killed him. Then the men of David sware unto him, saying, Thou shalt go no more out with us to battle, that thou quench not the light of Israel.
2Sa 21:18 And it came to pass after this, that there was again a battle with the Philistines at Gob: then Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Saph, which was of the sons of the giant.
2Sa 21:19 And there was again a battle in Gob with the Philistines, where Elhanan the son of Jaareoregim, a Bethlehemite, slew the brother of Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver's beam.
2Sa 21:20 And there was yet a battle in Gath, where was a man of great stature, that had on every hand six fingers, and on every foot six toes, four and twenty in number; and he also was born to the giant.
2Sa 21:21 And when he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimea the brother of David slew him.
2Sa 21:22 These four were born to the giant in Gath, and fell by the hand of David, and by the hand of his servants.
David lead by example. Too old to be still warring and yet not ready to hang up the sword, he finds himself in danger in a battle with another giant. When it seems that he will most certainly fall to the hand of the giant God sends a servant-brother (Abishai) to help (succour) him. It was once again, (2 Sam 18:3) determined by counsel (oath) that David would go out to battle no more fearing that he was now of far greater value as the light of Israel.
David’s strength was not only in his own ability to fight but in the close fellowship that he had in his relationships with his men. David’s career started with a giant and his career ended in the fall of four credited to him and his band of brothers. When we are too weak for the battle God will send reinforcements, just hold on. It may be through brothers (sisters) or angels or just supernatural strength or intervention but help will come.

Direct Download--Pastor Richard "Buddy" Wimberly "No Greater Love" John 15:12-15

Joh 15:12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
Joh 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
Joh 15:14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
Joh 15:15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

We memorialize people that have not only died, but according to how they died and why they were willing to die. Even greater is the idea that we memorialize them not just for dying but for giving their lives or how they lived before they died (lay down his life).

We are grateful for the ones who died in conflicts in our nations history but we are even more thankful for how they lived their lives and then were willing to die to secure the values of those lives. No man sets out to just die.. but to live and he can be willing to die to secure the right for others to have the same freedoms. We bestow the greatest honor upon these heroes when we live to preserve the freedoms that they gave their lives for.

Jesus said there can be no greater love than for a man to lay down his life for his friends. This indicates not only dying but living. If you are willing to live your life for another .. then dying for them becomes a no-brainer.
I have always associated this verse with Jesus laying down his life for us. But in reality, Jesus is instructing his disciples to lay their lives down for one another (v12) then He demonstrates through His example of both His life and death.
As believers, we give the greatest honor to our Lord when we live our lives by the example that He left for us in His life. The overt driving factor evident in the life of Christ is His Love. Love for God and love for others. Jesus said that we show our love for God and others by how we lay down our lives for them.
Do you truly love God?? Others?? Does it show in how you live??

Direct Download--Pastor Richard "Buddy" Wimberly "No Respect Of Persons" Romans 2:1-16
NO RESPECT OF PERSONS Romans 2:11 Rom 2:1 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things. (No matter your status, you are also condemned) Rom 2:2 But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things. (Yes they are sinning and it is wrong) Rom 2:3 And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God? (But you are just as guilty as they) Rom 2:4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? (By the grace of God I am what I am) Rom 2:5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; (To keep overlooking your sin is accumulating a treasure of wrath (sin’s consequence) against yourself) Rom 2:6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds: (God is the Judge) Rom 2:7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: Rom 2:8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, Rom 2:9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; Rom 2:10 But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: Rom 2:11 For there is no respect of persons with God. (Churchmembers of today are like the Jews of the past, believing that God favors them more because they are Christians) Rom 2:12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; Rom 2:13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. Rom 2:14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: Rom 2:15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;) Rom 2:16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel. (Legalistic people always have condemning spirits. Believing that they are not as other men are (the Pharisee & the Publican Lk 18:9-14) Paul is not suggesting that any should lower their standards… just their noses!!!!

Pastor Richard "Buddy" Wimberly "But You Shall Go Over" Deuteronomy 4:22

Deuteronomy 4:22
How many never met my father?
How many met him but never really knew him?
How many knew him well?
(brief words from volunteers)
(brief lead-in from the pastor)
(Video approx. 20 minutes)

(Look at all God has blessed us with through the years and rehearse them to our children)
Deu 4:7 For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the LORD our God is in all things that we call upon him for?
Deu 4:9 Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons' sons;
(Dad knew he had finished his course, He encouraged me) (His fear of ministry was that there was no retirement)
Deu 4:22 But I must die in this land, I must not go over Jordan: but ye shall go over, and possess that good land.
(We have and will face again challenges bigger than we are… but God)
Deu 4:38 To drive out nations from before thee greater and mightier than thou art, to bring thee in, to give thee their land for an inheritance, as it is this day.
(His blessings are way out of proportion to our abilities)
Deu 6:10 And it shall be, when the LORD thy God shall have brought thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee great and goodly cities, which thou buildedst not,
Deu 6:11 And houses full of all good things, which thou filledst not, and wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and olive trees, which thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full;
(Fear and doubt will cause you to stumble at God’s promises)
Deu 7:17 If thou shalt say in thine heart, These nations are more than I; how can I dispossess them?
(Nothing is bigger than our God) (The battle is the Lord’s)
Deu 7:21 Thou shalt not be affrighted at them: for the LORD thy God is among you, a mighty God and terrible.
Deu 7:22 And the LORD thy God will put out those nations before thee by little and little: thou mayest not consume them at once, lest the beasts of the field increase upon thee.
(The trials and lean times of the past were for our humility to honor our God) (Consider the end)
Deu 8:16 Who fed thee in the wilderness with manna, which thy fathers knew not, that he might humble thee, and that he might prove thee, to do thee good at thy latter end;
Deu 8:17 And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth.
Deu 8:18 But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.
(Just as Joshua built upon the foundation that had been laid with Moses – we are building upon the foundation that laid with my dad) (I want to keep alive the vision of our God and pass it on to our children after us to carry it to their children…)
(Dad was not allowed to go in to this land with us but he (like Moses) saw it)

Pastor Richard "Buddy" Wimberly " The Wrath Of God" Romans 1:18-32

Rom 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
Rom 1:19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
Rom 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Rom 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Rom 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
Rom 1:23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
Rom 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
Rom 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
Rom 1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
Rom 1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
Rom 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
Rom 1:29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
Rom 1:30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
Rom 1:31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
Rom 1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
How does God express His wrath? (24,26,28)
- By "giving people up" to their own sinful passions

Pastor Richard "Buddy" Wimberly "No More Time" Revelation 10:1-6,Hebrews 10:36-37,2Peter 3:1-13

Rev 10:1 And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:
Rev 10:2 And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth,
Rev 10:3 And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices.
Rev 10:4 And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.
Rev 10:5 And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven,
Rev 10:6 And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:

No more delay

Heb 10:36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
Heb 10:37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come, will come and will not tarry.

He is holding back or waiting for the time to come.

2Pe 3:1 This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:
2Pe 3:2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:
2Pe 3:3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
2Pe 3:4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
2Pe 3:5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
2Pe 3:6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
2Pe 3:7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
2Pe 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
2Pe 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
2Pe 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
2Pe 3:11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
2Pe 3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

2Pe 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

It is imminent; only God’s love delays the end of this age.

Pastor Richard "Buddy" Wimberly "Momma's Train" Proverbs 22:6,Proverbs 1:8-9

Pro 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

  • Train up means to narrow (discipline) as an instructor that they may miss the snares of sin and be prepared for the purpose that God has for them.
  • Train them as soldiers who through discipline are taught to handle their weapons, keep rank, and observe the word of command.
  • Train them up not in the way they would go but in the way they should go!
  • Those who have been trained cannot escape the implanted seed of truth even in their old age. In fact your training may be exactly what God uses to recall the wayward child, when he is old.

Proverbs 1:8 My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:
Proverbs 1:9 For they shall be an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck.

Momma you have a great calling on your life – the mission is almost overwhelming but it is of the highest importance. Train up your children!!!
Mom is MIA (missing in action) today in too many homes. Nothing that you feel you must do is more important than Momma’s train.
All that our children have to draw on may be what they have been disciplined in by Momma’s train.
I am asking you to consider doing something that would have never crossed your mind before you came to church today. Forsake whatever has derailed the Momma Train and get back on track. God will help you do it and the benefits cannot be compared.
May our moms be Godly women of character.

I thought you’d like to know,
Bro Buddy

Pastor Richard "Buddy" Wimberly "The Gospel Of Christ" Romans 1:7-17

Rom 1:7 To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Rom 1:8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.
Rom 1:9 For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;
Rom 1:10 Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you.
Rom 1:11 For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established;
Rom 1:12 That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.
Rom 1:13 Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come unto you, (but was let hitherto,) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles.
Rom 1:14 I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise.
Rom 1:15 So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.
Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
Rom 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
Paul sets forth that he wants to come to Rome so that he and they may be mutually encouraged in the faith.
Not ashamed is actually not a double negative but a resounding boast in the Gospel of Christ. (like he’s not bad at all, meaning he’s really good) The Gospel of Christ is dubbed as the power of God. The conduit of salvation. To every one that believes.
The Gospel of Christ is the way to the righteousness that is only of God by faith to faith. That is faith in conception to faith in practice. The just or justified shall live because of faith. But not just faith but faith in the Christ. The Gospel (good news) is essentially common with the live, death and resurrection of Jesus. Some one once said, “It’s not just faith but faith in Christ Jesus. It’s like saying, a man lives by swallowing.” Believing faith will produce living faith (see James 2)

768 05062012Evening

Pastor Richard "Buddy" Wimberly "A Still Small Voice" 1Kings 19:9-12

Jud 1:3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
Jud 1:4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

It is common as to the same for all men everywhere. Not common as if not valuable.
Prod you to earnestly contend for the faith in its undefiled form.
Earnestly = passionately
Contend = wrestle or fight
Faith = system of belief
The attack of the enemy includes infiltration of the camp of the Lord.
Of Old Ordained to this Condemnation = like special forces, stealthy and highly trained to blend in for the purpose of deception and delusion.
Ungodly men are the great enemies of the faith of Christ and the peace of the church. Those who deny or corrupt the one, and disturb the other, are here expressly identified as ungodly men.
They don’t actually change God’s Grace but the perception of His Grace turning it into sinful abuse of His Grace. They use God for their own gain. This abandonment of the purity of God’s Grace is out right denial of the church and our Savior.
How do we contend?
We preserve the Truth at all costs.
No man, group or teacher’s opinion can ever take precedence over the truth.

Rom 3:3 For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?
Rom 3:4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.

767 05062012Morning

Pastor Richard "Buddy" Wimberly "The Blood" 1Peter 1:18-19, Hebrews 9:22, Romans 6:23, Leviticus 17:11

Why blood?
Because w/o the shedding of blood there is no remission. (Hebrews 9:22)
The shedding of blood shows the grievousness of our sin toward God. The wages of sin of is death (Romans 6:23)
And the life is in the blood. (Leviticus 17:11)
Leviticus 17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.
But the blood of innocent animals could never pay for a man’s sin. (Hebrews 10:4)
We needed a better sacrifice, a holy and willing sacrifice. God’s blood!
1Peter1:18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
1Peter 1:19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
So now you know that He had to come and to die, if we were to have any hope of forgiveness for our sin. It could not have been anyone else.
Remember sin cannot be forgiven, it must be paid for. Sinners are forgiven.
Sinners are forgiven when they receive the free gift of atonement offered to whosoever will.
No matter who you are, (and you are a sinner – make no mistake about that) if you reject this payment of the lifeblood of Jesus for your sin then you must die for your own sin and His blood was shed in vain for you.
For those of us who trust in His blood, we are eternally secure. The blood will never fail. Fear not for: Php 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

Pastor Richard "Buddy" Wimberly "Concerning Jesus" Romans1:1-6, 2Timothy2:6

The Epistle to the Romans was written by Paul to the church that was at Rome, mix with Jews and gentiles but probably largely lead by Jews.
The purpose is to establish the truths of the Faith.
Rom 1:1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,
Rom 1:2 (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)
Rom 1:3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;
Rom 1:4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:
Rom 1:5 By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:
Rom 1:6 Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ:
Paul first declares himself a servant of Jesus Christ. It doesn’t matter the what the work may be, Paul is a servant and he will obey. Act 9:6 And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.
2nd Paul defines himself as called and sent. Apostle. (one sent) Act 9:15 But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:
3rd Paul dedicates himself to the message of the Gospel. Act 9:20 And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God.
The link to the new message was the old prophets. Same Messiah.
The message is not a new doctrine to rival the old but a deliverer to free us from the old. The Gospel (good news) is concerning Jesus Christ come in the flesh. Gospel = (birth, life, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ).
The crowning evidence that Jesus is the Christ is the resurrection from the dead.
Through Jesus we have received grace (God’s favor – undeserved) and a calling. You cannot be an effective witness unless you have first received. 2Ti 2:6 The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits.
Called to obey only. No restrictions of race or creed. Of all nations.

Pastor Richard "Buddy" Wimberly "Born Again" John3:7-18

Joh 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
Joh 3:8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
Joh 3:9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?
Joh 3:10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?
Joh 3:11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.
Joh 3:12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?
Joh 3:13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
Joh 3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
Joh 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Joh 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Joh 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Born Again, What is it? How do we get born again? Accept Jesus? How? These scriptures say to believe.. What is meant by believe? The Devils believe and tremble. Believe = entrust, to place trust in.
When we trust in Jesus, we are placing confidence in God. The Word was God and became flesh. When He cried “it is finished”. There is nothing else that can be done but to trust in Him.

Pastor Richard "Buddy" Wimberly "The Word Was God" John 1:1-3,14, Colossians 1:26-28

Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Joh 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
Joh 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Joh 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Word = Logos = Word thought & Word uttered. (In the beginning) Before the world was made, there was only God’s will (His intelligence) and His Creativeness (His utterance) and God, nothing or no one else. All of creation is a product of God’s Word alone…. His thought and His utterance (and God said “Let there be…”)

The things that exist are not made of the things that do appear, (Heb 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.) they are created by God’s Word alone, not by space debris or chemical elements. There were no elements … Only God and His Word.

The Same Word = Consistent = He’s always been there. He will always be there. He always loves me. He manifested His Word to us through His Son Jesus Christ (the Word became flesh). Jesus came to show us the Father. The Word was made flesh and dwelt (lived or resided) among us.
God’s Word in thought, God’s Word in Utterance and God’s Word in the Flesh are consistent, the same in the same. God needs no one or nothing from anyone but self-sufficiently (out of nothing) makes us into His image.
It is God in you the hope of glory!!!!

Col 1:26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:
Col 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
Col 1:28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:
Col 1:29 Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.
It is God in you the hope of glory!!!!

Pastor Richard "Buddy" Wimberly "For Such A Time" Esther4:14

Est 4:14 For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?

There is no chance with God. He appoints. He appoints times, people and purposes. Mordecai warned Esther the Queen to not take lightly her position of influence and it’s impeccable timing.
He also reminds her that she has an option to do all that she can or not.
But that God’s Will will be done irregardless. And another that will be chosen by God may be used but that will be of little comfort to her and her family.
All the events of your life are ordered. There are no coincidences. And God makes no mistakes.
What has God brought you through? And what has God brought you into? Please know that He has a plan for your life. His Will will be done. Will you be a part of that?

Pastor Richard "Buddy" Wimberly "No More Sacrifice" Hebrews 10:26

Heb 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

For centuries the Israelites looked to the sacrifices made every year for the pardon of their sins and yet we are told that not one sin was ever remitted by the blood of bulls and goats. So came the Lamb of God Jesus Christ to be offered once and for all and all of the sins of all mankind were taken away for all eternity.
The prophets and patriarchs of old preached repentance and foretold of God’s Lamb. They also gave instruction for the time until the Lamb of God should be manifested. You may reject the patriarchs and then hear the prophets. Or you may reject the prophets and then hear John the Baptist, Or you may reject John and hear Jesus’ teaching. You may even reject Jesus… But you cannot reject the invitation of the Holy Spirit of God for there is no more sacrifice. He is the last to come. His blood has purchased redemption. If you come to this knowledge and turn away from it, there is no remedy for you.
People don’t go to Hell because they are sinners, nor do they go for not receiving Christ as Savior, they go to Hell for rejection of the Lamb of God as revealed by the Holy Ghost. (Infants and small children, mentally incapable and those who have not heard). They sin willfully after their enlightenment; to whom shall they turn???

This is God’s plan… the wages of sin is death, the soul that sinneth shall surely die, sin must be paid for, only the holy blood of a perfect sacrifice would do, then all who would trust in God’s provision of redemption could receive a full pardon.

Are you trusting in God’s plan or are you still striving to make it on your own?

Pastor Richard "Buddy" Wimberly "Sons Of God" 1John 3:1-2.

1Jn 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
1Jn 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

The amazing thing is not that we love God but that He loves us. What manner of love is this that the Holy God would condescend to call us His sons. Identifying Himself with us unholy as we are.
This world cannot comprehend our state for it is spiritually discerned. They knew Him not, if they had known Him they would not have crucified Him.
NOW we are the sons of God, not one day in the future, but now. We don’t yet know what we shall be like but we do know that we shall be like Him when He comes back for us. Our transformation is a process and is not yet complete but one day will be perfected.
Christians aren’t perfect but they are forgiven. We still contend with the carnal nature of this flesh until we are perfected at His coming, but we are now, sons of God nonetheless.
We are God’s children in this earth rejoice for He has made us and not we ourselves. And He who began a good work in us will finish it..
