1Th 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together
with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be
with the Lord.
The word rapture is not found in the text of the scriptures but the definition
and description is.
The Rapture of the Church is a great Mystery and still even a great
controversy.
Some don’t believe in the rapture at all. Some believe that the church will
be raptured at the end of the Tribulation (post-trib). Some believe that the
church will be raptured in the middle of the Tribulation (mid-trib). Yet
others believe in the pre-tribulation rapture of the saints.
I believe that the scriptures teach a “catching out” of the saints before
the outpouring of the wrath of God on the Christ rejecters of this world.
This doctrine is not only confirmed and described here but is found to be
consistent with the nature of our God throughout the Bible.
Regardless of the timing… it is without doubt that Jesus fulfills His promise
(John 14) when He returns to take us home with Him.
Notice: the departed saints are both with the Lord and are raised from the
grave (v14, v16) Spirits (v14) Bodies (v16)
