Pastor Richard "Buddy" Wimberly "The Antichrist" II Thessalonians 2:1-3

2Th 2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus
Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
2Th 2:2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by
spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at
hand.
2Th 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come,
except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the
son of perdition;

Since the time that Christ has left this earth to sit at the Father’s righthand,
there has been those who have twisted the doctrine of Jesus’ return and
often they have shaken the hearts of those who were not firmly founded
on the Word of God. The day of Christ has not yet come and will not
come until the Antichrist is unveiled. He will be revealed as the very son
of Satan just as Christ is the Son of God. This revelation comes at a time
when there has been a deliberate rejection of revealed truth in exchange
for fables and teachers that seek to appease the multitudes. 2Ti 4:3 For the

time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts
shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 2Ti 4:4 And they shall
turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
This Antichrist is described as one, 2Th 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself
above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the
temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Notice the arrogance, defiance and self-righteousness of this man of sin. He
not only opposes God but exalts himself above God. He is not subject to
God or His laws.
John said, 1Jn 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in

the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard
that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. That this attitude

is
already in the world, even in John’s day. The revelation of the man of sin
is kinda a born in a sort of “perfect storm” of apostasy (a turning away
from revealed truth).
I firmly believe that this man is alive today and will soon be unveiled as the
leader (savior) of the world. This revelation will mark the beginning of
the Great Tribulation period when God’s wrath will be poured out on this
Christ rejecting world. In order to escape this time pf wrath, you must
have trusted Jesus Christ as your personal savior. Have you???

Tonight I will share what will happen to those who find themselves “Left
Behind.”
