Pastor Richard "Buddy" Wimberly "Praying Always" Ephesians 6:18-24

Eph 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit

Praying = to supplicate and worship

Prayer = worship

Supplication = petition; request

Jesus is our intercessor. Constant Prayer ensures constant contact (fellowship) with the soldier’s Commanding Officer. A faithful prayerlife energizes the Christian’s armor. Remember that the armor is God’s, that is our strength is in the power of His might. And our warfare is not against flesh and blood.

and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Eph 6:19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

Eph 6:20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

The warfare, the armor and the prayers are not about getting the things that we want. Or about having things to go our way. It is however about us and our relationship with the Heavenly Father. We spend a lot of time, energy and money trying to change our circumstances, but that doesn’t change us. (you can take the boy out of the country but you can’t take the country out of the boy) Folks can be changed but only by the power of God – not by manipulation of surroundings, associations or activities. Luk 12:34 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Eph 6:21 But that ye also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things:

Eph 6:22 Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts.

Eph 6:23 Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Eph 6:24 Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.

There are those who do not love Him in sincerity. They only love Him by profession not by practice.

Who has your heart?
